NovaSync

By Seidr Labs โ€” server-side Minecraft tooling for Paper 1.21+.

A complete admin and networking backbone for Paper 1.21.11 servers โ€” one plugin that bundles a web dashboard, anti-cheat, standalone economy, automated backups, and an opt-in multi-server sync layer. No Vault required, no other plugins required to function.

Features (works out of the box)

Live Web Dashboard

Run your server from any browser. Real-time player list, TPS / memory / entity graphs, plugin manager, log viewer, and admin actions. No SSH, no RCON, no console window. Mobile-friendly. Served by the plugin itself on a configurable port (default 8585), accessible at http://<your-server-ip>:8585/dashboard after first boot.

Quick Admin Tools

One-click moderation from the dashboard:

  • Inspect Inventory โ€” see any online player's full inventory plus armour and offhand
  • Spectate, Unfreeze, Op-self, Remove God-mode โ€” instant actions while griefers are still mid-grief
  • Player lookup, kick, ban, promote โ€” all from the web UI

Built-in 7-Tier Anti-Cheat

Fly, speed, kill-aura, reach, scaffold, no-fall, and packet-flood detection. Tunable thresholds via dashboard, full offence log, and no-false-ban handling on lag spikes. Bedrock-aware: auto-exempts Floodgate players from Java-only movement checks if Floodgate is installed.

Standalone Economy

/bal, /pay, /baltop, /eco commands work without Vault. Sign-based player shops with buy/sell modes. Optional Vault bridge if you want to integrate with other economy plugins.

Automatic Backups

Scheduled world backups with disk-aware retention (won't fill your disk). Optional offsite S3 upload if configured. Config-file versioning so you can roll back any config change made via the dashboard.

LuckPerms Integration (if installed)

NovaSync auto-detects LuckPerms and syncs its admin / donator / member role tiers through it. Configurable default role for new joiners. Works without LuckPerms too โ€” the role system has its own permission backend as a fallback.

Built-in Update Manager

Plugin checks for new versions, downloads, and applies updates with a single dashboard click. Backup of the previous jar kept in plugins/.replaced/ for rollback.

Optional integrations (require those plugins installed separately)

  • Simple Voice Chat โ€” NovaSync hooks for in-game voice, mobile-friendly voice tokens, voice host management in the dashboard
  • Geyser-Spigot + Floodgate โ€” Bedrock client support; NovaSync provides Bedrock-specific UIs (Floodgate CustomForm), mobile voice token system, and Bedrock-aware admin tools
  • CoreProtect โ€” block-rollback hooks
  • ViaVersion + ViaBackwards โ€” protocol bridging if your Geyser version is newer than Paper's native protocol

NovaSync detects each at boot and only activates the integration if the partner plugin is present. None are required for the core feature set above.

Optional: multi-server sync (advanced)

Run multiple Paper servers as one network โ€” shared economy, role sync, cross-server player lookups, peer-relayed admin actions. Disabled by default. Enable in config.yml if you operate more than one node and want them to behave as a single shared world. Otherwise NovaSync runs standalone.

Installation

  1. Drop NovaSyncPlugin-X.X.X.jar into your server's plugins/ folder
  2. Start the server. NovaSync creates default plugins/NovaSyncPlugin/config.yml on first boot
  3. Open http://<your-server-ip>:8585/dashboard in a browser
  4. Complete the first-run setup wizard (admin username and password)
  5. (Optional) Edit config.yml to enable multi-node sync, OpenAI integration, or other advanced features

Default port 8585 is configurable in config.yml under http-api.port.

Requirements

  • Paper 1.21.11 or compatible build
  • Java 21+
  • Roughly 64 MB extra RAM for the dashboard and sync subsystems

Production status

NovaSync runs the Nova AI Minecraft network โ€” two Paper 1.21.11 nodes (Hetzner EU and Hyperlayer South Africa), shared world, continuous-deployment, hundreds of players over months. It is not a beta.
